why Hard Rock?	The name "Hard Rock Cottages" is indeed derived from the solid rock formation on which the resort is build. You will never be disturbed by noisy rock music or similar sounds. The only audible background you can perceive is the sound of the sea, the birds and the nature surrounding us. We have no disco close to the beach and there are no other noise sources - the street is approx. 100 m away!
German - Philipino management family atmosphere	The Hard Rock Cottages are a small beach resort under german-philippino management. Since January 2004 the resort is managed by Elma and Alex v.Essen. All the cottages, facilities, the restaurant and bar were either built from the scratch or completely renovated. It is our obligation to ensure every traveller a pleasant, relaxing holiday. Nonetheless we want to treat our guests with the typical philipino hospitality. We are sure you will enjoy the friendly family atmosphere.
accomodation	We offer 2 bungalows on a small platform close to the sea. 2 larger cottages and the restaurant and bar are build on the clifftop in a tropical garden. From the clifftop you have a wonderful view over the adjoining coastline.
swimming / snorcling / diving	Even unpractised swimmers will feel quite save in the cristal-clear water. Our house reef shows never-imagined insights of underwater sealife. The corals and the underwater life are still quite undisturbed. The highest tides reach 1,8 meters, during low tide you can wade approx. 100 meters into the sea. In 2 km distance there ist the well renowned Padi-Resort "Kiwi-Dive", offering diving courses and dive tours for everybody´s taste.
travelling close to the people	If you are willing to, you can meet the inhabitants of this island from a completely different view in comparison to the average tourist. With our contacts we are able to let you gain an insight into the traditional art of the faith healers and quack doctors. Just take part in a fiesta or at a marriage (if there is one, of course!) or you are only invited for food and a bit of chat by a philippine family. We arrange for the contacts every individual guest is wishing for.
sightseeing	We help you to explore all of the island. We offer individually sized tours with our Pickup (here they are called "Easy Ride"). From a small picnic in the mountains up to a complete 1-day-roundtrip you can experience Siquijor from a very personal point of view.
