from Manila

From Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) by taxi or shuttle bus to the domestic airport
ATTENTION! Some airlines fly from the old domestic airport (Cebu Pacific), some (Philippine Airlines) from the new Terminal 2! Better ask on the information desk within the International Airport!
From the domestic airport Manila to Cebu or Dumaguete. Continue as in "from Cebu" or "from Dumaguete".
There are some connections by ship: Manila-Dumaguete or Manila-Cebu (for instance WG&A Superferry). A trip from Manila takes 24 hours.

from Cebu

The airport is on Mactan Island, Mactan is connected with two bridges with the main island. Take a Taxi to the harbour. It is important to know which ship you are using: Ocean Jet and Palacio Shipping (Don Martin 8) depart from Pier 1 (Pier uno). At present there is no direct connection Cebu - Larena with the exception of the slow and unreliable Palacio Shipping. If you prefer Ocean Jet there is only the route Cebu - Dumaguete, Dumaguete - Siquijor left over.

from Dumaguete

The airport is a little distant from the city. Only vehicles with a special permit are allowed to service the airport. If you are coming from the city you may have to hire another trycicle... Take a trycicle from the airport directly to the pier, tell the driver which ship you are going to ride. This may save you some running. Careful: Porters in Dumaguete are often overcharging foreigners exorbitantly!
There is a number of boats connecting Dumaguete with Siquijor island (see Timetable).

The most important shipping connections from / to Cebu and Dumaguete are listed in our Timetable How to carry on from Siquijor or Larena to Hard Rock Cottages
(see also our "Service" page!)

from Siquijor, Siquijor

From the pier in Siquijor take an EasyRide or Tricycle to Larena. Usually you have to change the car there (in the town, don´t go to the harbour!) There are only few EasyRides and some Jeepneys going the whole trip to Enrique Villanueva. The fare for the trip Siquijor-Larena (10 km) is about 15 PHP per person.

from Larena, Siquijor

Siquijor Map Larena CutIf you arrive at the harbour usually some vehicles are waiting for passengers.

Ask for the next EasyRide, Jeepney or bus going to Enrique Villanueva (or Talingting - this is the old name for the town).

Ask the driver to drop you in Bitaug on the junction to the Hard Rock Cottages
From here it is about 100 meters to walk. Most drivers will bring you straight to the resort if you have some baggage and ask them.
The fare for the trip Larena - Bitaug (8 km) costs about. 10 PHP per person.
